Allies for Children Commitment - Reconciliation Week 2025

This Reconciliation week, the Allies for Children Australia partner organisations have come together to reinforce our commitment to strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, supporting self-determination and unity.

In continuing our efforts to address the over-representation of First Nations children in care, we recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are best placed to care for their children. We are dedicated to actively identifying and challenging racist policies, practices and ideas that perpetuate racial profiling and discrimination of First Nations children, young people and families, and lead to the ongoing over-representation of First Nations children and young people in the child protection and youth justice systems.
